Interactive, virtual dance classes that engage 5-10 year-olds
in 
Modern, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary.

Please note:
Dancers do not need to have prior dance training to attend this program. 

While our programming has to be online this summer, we are still bringing the same level of excellence we do each year! Classes held through Zoom allow for interactive learning, real time engagement, and student connection.

How can my child attend the 2020 Virtual Summer Session?

1.
Decide on a Class Pass

Look through the Summer Session Schedule and see which classes your child wants to try throughout the session.
Choose the Class Pass that will work for you below.

2.
Purchase & Register

Select the Class Pass you will use this summer on the Summer 2020 Registration page.

Purchase, then either log in (if you already have a TWDCC Online account) or create a new profile.
This step takes about 10 minutes. 

3.
Download
Zoom

Download the application we use to host our dance classes online. 

It takes 5 minutes to install to your Mac or PC. 

4.
Log in for class!

Instructions on how to attend your class will be available 3 days prior to your program start date.

Micha Scott

Modern

TWDCC Artistic Director // Garth Fagan Dance

Micha Scott is a dance professional with 29 years of performing, teaching, and choreographic experience. She was a senior member of the world renowned Garth Fagan Dance in New York for 13 years before coming to the West coast. She is currently TWDCC Artistic Director, resident choreographer at Mountain School in Soquel, CA, an instructor at Dancenter, and lead teacher with Tandy Beal’s Dance Around the World program. Micha has been a lecturer at Santa Clara University, UCSC, SUNY Brockport as well as a guest choreographer for numerous companies and schools.

Molly Katzman

Contemporary
Molly has been dancing for 20+ years and teaching for 10+. Molly dances with Joe Goode Performance Group in San Francisco while she teaches at Motion Pacific, Georgiana Bruce Kirby Preparatory School, and Tannery World Dance and Cultural Center in Santa Cruz.

Alex Mannings

Ballet
Alexandra Mannings is a first year PhD student at University of California - Santa Cruz, studying Astronomy and Astrophysics. She received her B.S. in Physics and B.A. in Dance from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She has set numerous works which have been featured in shows on The University of Alabama campus, as well as adjudicated at the American College Dance Association’s regional meeting. Alexandra was able to engage in dance research as an Arts Research Fellow with Creative Campus, and had the privilege of directing the Dance Alabama Film Festival. Her work has also been shown in the Frame x Frame Film Festival, Black Warrior Film Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and the Alabama Dance Festival New Works concert. She enjoys teaching, experimenting with new (to her) dance styles, and taking long walks. She is excited to join the TWDCC team, and become a member of the Santa Cruz dance community!

Chloe Rosen

Jazz
Chloe grew up training in jazz, ballet, contemporary, tap, and musical theatre. Her love of dance grew even further in college, where she studied postmodern dance and composition at UC Santa Cruz. Throughout her college career, Chloe performed in, choreographed, and directed several dance productions on campus, as well as dancing professionally in projects outside of school. Following graduation, Chloe went on to Centre National de la Danse, where she was one of 10 UCSC dancers selected to study abroad in Pantin, France. In 2019, Chloe was the artist in residency through Motion Pacific's Incubator Project, where she created an evening length work, "you are held here," in collaboration with her cast. Chloe has danced professionally with Cid Pearlman Performance, ODC, and currently dances with Tim Rubel Human Shakes, a company based out of San Francisco, CA.

2. Select the Class Pass that reflects how many classes your child wants to take. 
Register with YOUR CHILD’s first and last name, and your email.
 
*PLEASE NOTE: Teachers will be taking roll in class. *
 
3. Remember to write down your username and password and save it to your computer! You’ll need that info to get to class. 
 
4. Click on the Paypal Checkout button in the bottom right. 
 
5. Choose to either Subscribe with a Credit/Debit card or log in to Paypal to complete the transaction.
 
 
 
1. Log in, if you aren’t logged in already by clicking  HERE to attend the 2020 Virtual Summer Session.
 
2. Choose Log In, then enter your username and password. 
 
3. This page is your TWDCC Online account. 
 
4. Navigate to the Summer 2020 tab then in the dropdown menu, click on the “Attend Summer Session Here.”
 
5. ***Take note of the zoom password at the top of the page 
 
6. Follow instructions for joining the Zoom meeting.
 

Follow the registration steps above for each individual child, using unique email addresses and names for each child. They will each have their own account.

If they have different classes at the same time, please be aware that they will each need to use separate devices to access their class. 

You pay the full Class Pass fee when you purchase it. You will not be charged again for the Summer Session.

We are not offering refunds for classes missed.

Email Micha at micha.twdcc@gmail.com with your child’s age, dance experience, and what genre of dance they want to enroll in. She’ll get back as soon as possible with a recommendation for an age appropriate class they can try.
