TWDCC Adult Programs
Adult Classes are drop-in only and may be cancelled or changed on short notice. Plan to arrive early to assure your spot, to fill out the TWDCC Waiver, and so your teacher can start their class on time.
All adult teachers, staff, dancers, drummers, and participants are required to sign a waiver the first time they take a class.
Adult classes ask varying amounts for class. Please arrive with cash or be ready to pay via a digital app like Venmo, Paypal, Cashapp, or something similar.

Beginning Contemporary for Adults
with Molly Katzman
7PM – 8:15PM
Cost: $15 for one class, or $60 for 5 classes
Class canceled: 9/30/23
This class is for the adult who has never danced, who hasn’t danced in years, who dances every day and can’t stop, won’t stop. This class is all about connecting to our bodies, our sensation, our joy of moving; you could never get it wrong since there is an endlessness of possibilities. We will also play with gravity and the weight of our bodies and practice releasing into momentum so we can fly, swing, swoop, surrender, yield, and fall. Let’s remember we have bodies who have an incredible capacity to feel and what it’s like to move together in person again.

11:30AM-12:30PM
***Special Dance Week Class: 4/22 from 5-6PM
Sliding scale, $10 – $20
Mindfulness movements using the gait, gestures, breathing, and music of Balinese dance. We welcome people of any gender, age, and level.
Arts and culture are the soul and breath in Balinese life, therefore dance is also practiced as spiritual and artistic expression. The poses in Balinese dance are angular and maintained to support the movements and the articulation of limbs, trunk, head, and facial expressions that are coordinated with the tempo and rhythms in Balinese gamelan orchestra.
The most revered essence of Balinese dance is taksu. Similar to charisma or soul, taksu involves projecting subtle emotions and movements in moments of apparent stillness within the chaos of dance and music.
Noni (Luh Andarawati) is a dancer from Klungkung, Bali, whose entire life has been surrounded by Balinese and Indonesian arts and culture. She specializes in Balinese dance, and further expanded her repertoire to include dances from Java and studied some modern, contemporary, and classical dances in the US.
