What to bring on Showcase Day

What to bring on Showcase Day:

  • Dancers should all have a “dance bag” that includes any or all of the items listed below. All items should be clearly labeled. Dancers with 3 or more costume changes should bring a laundry basket for their belongings.

  • Dancers should arrive with hair in a secure bun or otherwise attached to their head (braids, etc). If hair is too short to make a bun please have it pulled back out of their face. Bring a brush and bobby pins/hair ties for touch ups before the show.

  • Due to the bright stage lights and size of the theater we recommend that dancers wear stage makeup so they will not look washed out by the lights. This includes blush, eye liner and eye shadow. It is recommended that dancers arrive made up. They do not need to have their makeup done for their tech rehearsal. Levels 3-5 dancers can leave their belongings at the theater during the break.

  • Costumes! Please double check that they have all the pieces of all of their costumes, as well as any personal items they may be required to wear as part of their costumes (leotards, leggings, dance shoes, etc.).

  • Warmers (sweatpants, hoodies, warm socks) to keep warm between dances.

  • Pack a large lunch plus snacks and a full water bottle. We will not be able to provide food or water. There is no access to a refrigerator or microwave.

  • Quiet games, playing cards, and books are a great way to pass the time. We are not responsible for lost or stolen electronic items, we recommend you leave them at home. Bring at your own discretion/risk.

Flowers

We will be selling beautiful, colorful springtime flower bouquets to present to your dancer for $12.00 via cash or venmo. These will be on sale before the show as well as at intermission while supplies last. If you were planning on presenting flowers to your dancer please consider buying them at the show; the funds will bolster our SCOPE Scholarship program, which benefit 15% of our Youth Program students.

Video

This performance will be filmed and available free of charge during Summer 2024.
