A summer-long series of engaging movement classes and events in our beautiful County Park spaces!

Bootcamp with Dominique Rice!

When: AUGUST 6, 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Where: CHANTICLEER PARK

The class consists of a combination of cardio-conditioning, resistance training with light to moderate free weights / body weight exercises, abdominal exercises and stretching/ mobility (involving dynamic stretching and some static stretching.) Comfortable tennis shoes and fitness wear for all  participants.

SENIOR CLASS! Movement/Self-Defense with Clara Minorsan

When: AUGUST 10, 9:30 – 10:30am
Where: FELTON COVERED BRIDGE

Specially geared for the mature mover, this class is open to all levels, and will focus on gentle movement from the safety and stability of a chair if needed (chairs will be provided). As well, practical Self Defense tactics will be part of the training. Please wear sturdy shoes.

KickAeroBix-on-the-Green with Clara Minorsan

When: AUGUST 20, 6 – 7:00pm
Where: FELTON COVERED BRIDGE

“Move to the beat of the music in this high-energy fitness workout, focusing on kickboxing moves and fitness components. You will do at your own body’s pace/level. Options for all levels of fit or unfit. Torch calories and feel so empowered when class is over!”

Tandy Beal & Company presents Senior Walk/Performance!

When: AUGUST 23, 10 – 11:10am
Where: QUAIL HOLLOW PARK

Join County Park Friends and Tandy Beal & Company for a lovely Art Walk, coffee meet and greet, and performance by iconic Santa Cruz artists. Specially geared for Seniors.

Tai Chi for Seniors with Linda Gerson!

When: SEPTEMBER 10, 11 – 11:45am
Where: CHANTICLEER PARK

Join long time teacher Linda Gerson in this class specially geared for the mature mover. Tai Chi from the comfort and safety of a chair (chairs provided).
