Oumou Faye

Oumou Faye is a West African dancer from Senegal. She was born and raised in the city of Dakar where she lived until I came to Santa Cruz at 27 years old. Oumou wanted to bring some African culture to Santa Cruz. After traveling and teaching around the world in places like Hawaii, Australia, New Mexico, New York, Oakland, and Washington DC, she decided to start teaching African dance to the people of Santa Cruz County. Oumou loves sharing her culture with her community, and performing in shows around the Bay Area. She would love to see you all in her classes here at TWDCC and around Santa Cruz County.
