Jenny Wright offers a 3-part hip hop series on Saturdays 10/5, 10/19, and 10/26 from 1:45pm-2:45pm.
Jenny Wright brings an extremely attentive, engaging, welcoming warmth, and sparks the spirit of play in everyone she teaches! She is known for making dance approachable for her beginning students, and making challenging choreography accessible for more advanced students. This class will be accessible to all ages and levels.
Jenny started dancing hip hop at age 7, and has been choreographing and teaching hip hop since 2007. She captained HSU’s Demolishion Dance Team for 3 years, and then went on to lead competitive hip hop companies for the next 3. As a dance major both in college and at her arts magnet high school, Jenny has been trained from a wide variety of perspectives and in many styles of dance. She was trained by Gary Kendall and Randy Bernall of the Jabbawockeez for 4 years, and has had the opportunity to be educated in the funk styles of hip hop at Rennie Harris’s Illadelph Legends festival, and has participated in competition/conventions from 6th-12th grade. Her choreography at HSU was selected to represent the school at the American College Dance Festival as their adjudicated work.
