Teen Programs

Ages 13-18

For ages 13-18, these programs are designed to give young dancers a taste of what a professional dancer’s life is all about: refining technique and performance, developing choreography, broadening knowledge of various dance styles, and learning about body awareness, wellness, and health through supplementary classes.

Register for both Programs to get a well-rounded Summer training experience!

Teen Modern
Intensive

This comprehensive Intensive will expose dancers to rigorous training, creative projects and a dance photo shoot. Faculty includes dancers from the renowned Garth Fagan Dance company in NY, home Company of Artistic Director Micha Scott.

Similar to our Pop Up Series last summer, this series gives dancers the opportunity to train and explore far-ranging contemporary techniques. Dancers get to work closely with over 8 professional teaching artists.

DanceArts Camps

Ages 5-10

Our week long camps explore world cultures through dance immersion, arts & crafts, in depth and age appropriate learning, and lots of FUN!

From Mexico and India to Brazil, children connect to the places where dance is created and the teaching artists that carry on those traditions. Each week offers opportunities to build skills in a dynamic environment, grow artistically with TWDCC artists, and meet new friends.

FAQ

All students taking Modern, and  Contemporary are required to wear solid colored leotards & black leggings/hair tightly pulled back in a bun or ponytail. Modern and Contemporary require bare feet.

TWDCC does not allow dancers to wear short shorts or midriff tops in class.

Please email tanneryworlddance@gmail.com with your choice of program/s or camp/s. Summer is first come, first served. 

Your dancer with be registered for the Program/s on the same business day, and charged at the end of the business day for the full amount.

  • All students and staff are required to wear masks at all times during outdoor classes. Participants will be given routine breaks between classes and at regular intervals throughout the class.
  • There will be no more than 20 participants in an outdoor class.
  • All participants will have their temperatures digitally taken upon entry to outdoor class.
  • All students and staff are required to use hand sanitizer upon entry, and avoid touching their faces.
  • All students and staff are required to stay on their square during outdoor classes.
  • All students and staff are required to bring their own water bottles and enough water and food for each day. No community refills will be available.
  • Outdoor dance means taking care of our bodies according to the weather every day. Bring many layers, extra socks, and even sneakers you can dance in. Dress code will not be enforced so students can maintain warmth.
  • Staff will sanitize each square at the beginning of classes each day and between each student.
  • There will be no contact as part of the class and we ask that participants keep a 6 ft distance on and off the dance floor during outdoor classes.
  • Participants will keep at least 6 ft distance from other participants.
  • If an injury occurs staff will put on gloves to assist participants.
  • If participants require any medication or are prescribed an EpiPen, participants should bring these medications to class with them.
  • Parents are required to drop their students off for class at the Courtyard gate (that faces the residences; not River St) and walk to the gate to pick their students up promptly at the end of class. This is non-negotiable. 
  • Outdoor classes are liable to be moved online due to weather. 



TWDCC Summer Programs are based on level and age. 

DanceArts Camps are for young dancers ages 5-10.

Pre-Teen programs are geared for dancers ages 10-12.
